Food Truck Tote Bag

It’s a bag. A map. A lunch plan.

Lea collaborated with artists Helena Keeffe and Amber Cady to design conference tote bags for the 2011 Open Engagement conference in Portland, Oregon. Their tote featured hand-drawn images of Portland food trucks. Each truck was color-coded by the part of town where it was located. At lunchtime, conference goers need only browse their bag for a food suggestion – Nuevo Mexico, Portland Soup Company, Wicked Waffles — and head in the direction of the arrows. (There was also a paper insert with specific addresses inside the bag.)

Thank you to the Social Practice program at PSU and the Open Engagement community for your sharpie drawings, silk-screen printing, and sewing skills!
