At an Awesome Foundation event in Oakland, I greeted everyone at the door in my Uno outfit and gave them an Uno card on a string, to hang from their neck. Over the course of the event, whenever people met or conversed, they could flip around their cards to reveal their colors and numbers. If the two cards could be played one after the other in a game of Uno — i.e. if they were a color match or/and a number match — both people won a small prize from my pocket. Playing each mini “game” of Uno gave people a great excuse to introduce themselves to each other.
