Who is Lea?

As your trusty guide, I bring to these sessions my decades-long practice as a working artist, published author, and designer of delight. I bring my big heart and my desire to see people flourish. You might know me as the Postmaster of the World’s Smallest Post Service, the author of This Is for You or Knit the Sky, or possibly as the creator of Dandelion Post. I work in many mediums and am fascinated by everyday material culture. I believe in the power of tangible, embodied experience to do all kinds of good things, such as enliven, connect, inquire, and heal. Beauty and wonder are always nearby, waiting to cheer us on and cheer us up. I believe revolution happens in the smallest of spaces. Join me there?

These private, 2-session workshops offer a dynamic, supportive structure in which the creative process can take a shape that is uniquely yours. Through close listening, guided inquiry, and reflective exercises, we will co-create meaningful activities, practices, and objects to enrich your moments, days, and years to come.

Choose from my list of programs or we can design one around any topic you’d like. We will meet via Zoom, phone, or in my studio in Oakland, California. Whatever the format, I promise you a warm, kind space where the whole you is welcome.
