Lea’s Studio

Lea Redmond seeks the extraordinary hiding in the ordinary and wants to share it with you. She is always looking for the poem hiding inside things — a salt shaker, a clothes tag, a hand gesture, a cloud. In her studio in Oakland, California and out & about around town, Lea makes things, books, and activities that invite humans of all ages to be curious, playful, and kind. Lea believes that things make us as much as we make them, and she is trying her darndest to make things that encourage the world to be a little kinder and quirkier. Enjoy the exhibits below, check out Lea’s online shop, attend a workshop (virtual or in person), or send Lea a letter at her studio (3834 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, CA, 94609).
